Tap at Anthony’s in Lynnwood, WA. Pours translucent copper with an off-white head. Aroma is rather roasty malt, and citrus? Med body. Flavor is very roasty malt. Arguably citrus hop. Pretty malty, yet rather bitter.

Tapered Pils glass draft at Anthony’s in Spokane, Washington. The pour is clear orange golden with a one inch well formed off white head. The aroma is faint floral hops and muted cracker malt. The taste is the nose, clean enough, just very subdued malt and hop flavors. The palate is light to medium bodied, active carbonation and a dry floral finish. Decent.

On tap. A quite clear one, golden-orange, and topped by an off-white head leaving lacings. Hop-driven aroma with pale malts in the back. Some caramel, borderline toffee, notes. Pine cones and citrus peel. The flavor is pretty much the same, with the added joy of bitterness. Some malty sweetness. Medium to full body, pleasant carbonation level. Bitter and fruity finish, peaches, pine cones and some grassy notes. Well, except that it’s a tad on the malty side, it’s a fine brew. 130702
