On tap @ the brewpub. On paper this seems to be just a novelty beer made for the occasion and the group of people hanging around with Gunnfryd. It’s for sure a really weird one, but some it works, could easily have a few of this one – at least fresh. It doesn’t look to delicate, it’s murky, dirty reddish orange almost with no head at all. Almost like a smoothie. Unusually in aroma as well, fresh and fruity with strawberries, raspberries, fruit and green pepper. Flavor feels immediate sweet and fruity, then there is a hot chilly explosion in my mouth, not unpleasant but rather hot and somehow unexpected (even knowing about the chilly). The body feels good and balanced and the aftertaste is a burning sensation. Most of all a funny beer, but actually not just a novelty.

Draught @ Christianssand Brygghus, Kristiansand
Pours hazy orange/amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of strawberry jam, citric acid and hint of chili. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long sweet, strawberry, slightly sour and chili burning finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the brewpub. Norwegian rating no1000. An unclear pinkish red orange colored beer with a small, dense, white head. The aroma has a pleasant raspberry touch, but strawberry dominates. There’s some lemon notes in the flavor, the lacto shows up, but it’s the strawberry that dominates. The chili is mostly warming, not much flavor. It’s full- to medium bodied, with a nice carbonation. Lasting finish with strawberry and a lovely chili burn. Didn’t expect this one to turn out nice, but actually I like it a lot. Congrats Gunnar. 140604

On tap at the brewpub. Red golden-orange colour with a peachy/off-white head. Aroma is powerful strawberry and sugar and malt. Flavour is intense strawberry and malt at first, but then the chili came and be spread in my mouth. After several sips you can also detect some hint of raspberry and brett. This is nearly the perfect fruit beer. Very many thx to Tellef to create this beer.
