On tap @ the brewpub. Dark amber body with a moderat sized lacing beige head. Nice aroma of caramel malt, dry fruit and hint of some spicy yeast. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, lots of dry fruit, hint of spices and a backdrop of balanced bitterness. Fine balanced body with a nice and smooth aftertaste. A very nice beer for the season that has this Christmas candy goodness but will probably also stands the fight as a good companion with fat Christmas food.

On tap at the brewpub. A clear looking brown beer with a small, beige head leaving some curtains. Caramel-malty aroma with raisins and dime nuts. Some chocolate and cocoa shows up in the flavor, but it’s mostly the caramel and dried fruits known from the aroma. A nice bitterness too. Quite dry on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. Lasting finish. A tasteful one, very reminiscent of the regular Norwegian Christmas beers, only better. 141108
