Clear bottle 20 cl. Pours a clear amber with no head. Aroma is syrup and vodka. Fat, syrupy body, hardly any carbonation. Sugar, molasses, vodka and higher alcohols - although appears bottom fermented. Clearly more Stalinistic Malt Liquor than Barley Wine. 221214

Bottle,20cl. It’s a clear, dark golden beer without head. Lightly alcoholic nose with some cooked vegetables, honey, resins, a generic fruityness and some notes of fruit caramel. Warming, full-bodied and with a low level of carbonation. Some bitterness, with resiny, fruity hints, some caramel and booze. Lasting, warming and fruity finish. Way too alcoholic this one, but sort of nice in a strange way. 141025

Small offwhite head. Clear amber body. Syrupy grainy wort aroma with strawy notes. Dry-sweet grainy strawy corn taste with honey notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish earthy strawy grainy aftertaste with alcoholic honey and raisins notes. Lovely and amazingly easy to drink. (0.2l bottle. A gift from Vidma Alutis.)

200 ml bottle from Vilniaus Alus. Malty nose, orange, honey, grains, apple, pear, white grapes. Honey gold-orange color, flat. Light, tingly carbonation. Silky, oily body. Sweet and fruity, peach and apple andnsweet orange, homey. Tangy finish with some peppery hops and alcohol. Decent, a bit simple, rather like a strong heller bock.

From Vilnius, maybe Maxima? Clear amber color, no head. Sweet and harsh, bready, cardboardish aroma. Sweet honeyish flavor, white portwine, grapes, bread, malts, grains. Flavor is better than aroma. Interesting.
