Imperial Ale is a top-fermented beer with a rich flavour bouquet. There is a perfect balance between the delicious bitter taste of hops and the sweetness of malt. The copper colour that characterizes the best ales adds a respectability referring to its imperial past.

Grainy, light on flavor, just bland all around. Medium-light carbonation. Not great.

8/4/2023. Bottle shared at SBGP2. From Marek. Pours clear bright amber with a frothy off-white head. Good looking beer. Aroma is malty, veggie, bready, caramel. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, slightly creamy, quite lively. Okay.

Pours amber, large lasting head.Nose shows hay, cereal, spicy and herbal hops.Flavours include more cereal and hay notes, some biscuity malt too. And a faint cardboard note.

Bottle, 0.4l. Clear copper pour. Violent pour managed to produce a three finger soapy white head. Not much of a retention, diminishing quite quickly but leaving some decent lacing on the glass. Nose is malty sweet, grainy with traces of corn. Slightly herbal. Thin body, light and watery texture. Heavily carbonated, very prickly and aggressive. However, it makes it nicely refreshing. Taste and aroma pretty much the same as the nose, nothing to write home about here really. Malty, grainy, grassy. Touch of hops, earthy, slight acidity. Some moderate bitterness in the aftertaste. Overall, nothing special. It works as a quick refreshment during a hot summer day. Drinkable.
