Tap @ the brewpub. Clear amber body with a dense beige head. Aroma has malt, some bread and ripe fruit. Flavor is surprisingly strong compared with expectations from aroma. Quite malty with bread, hint of acidic berries, some ripe fruit and well balanced bitterness. Fine body with a sweet aftertaste. Rather nice and complex, but far from Nøgne Ø batch 100. I found lot lesser bitterness and lesser fruity. But it has a fine balance and the alcohol is surprisingly well hidden.

On tap at the brewpub. It's a lightly unclear brown colored beer topped by a dense, finger-thick off-white head leaving lacing. Malt-driven aroma with caramel and some dried fruits. Piney, grapefruity hops and some alcohol. Bready notes too. It's full-bodied, lightly warming and rather soft on the palate, with a perhaps too gentle bitterness, but it's not overly sweet either, so it's sort of balanced. The flavor has caramel, some bread and dried fruits, with pine cones and grapefruit. A bit alcoholic in the finish. Personally, I'd wait a bit before pouring this beer, but the brewers insisted I was told. It's a fine brew though, but a bit edgy. 180704
