Tap @ the brewpub. A deep amber body with a nice, dense tan head. Nice and spicy aroma of cinnamon, ginger, cocoa, oranges peel and caramel malt with a hint of bread and yeast. Flavor is medium sweet, brown malt, caramel, spices like aroma, chocolate/cocoa powder and moderate bitterness. Balanced body and long lasting spicy aftertaste. All in all a very fine and balanced beer for the Christmas season. Perhaps not a beer to go along with any kind of food, probably best alone.

On tap at the brewpub. It's an almost clear amber colored beer with a small off-white head. The aroma has dark dried fruits, raisin, prune, fig, with cocoa, spiced scents and some roasted malts. Dried fruits, a suitable bitterness and different spiced in the flavor. Chili hints, cinnamon and nutmeg, with a pleasant cocoa touch. It's full-bodied, smooth and semi-dry on the palate, with a lasting finish. A nice beer, but probably a bit fresh when I had it. 181115
