Getrunken als „Wieninger Dunkles Lagerbier“ (ohne den Zusatz Premium) in der Bügelflasche mit 5,2 % Alk. Dunkelbraune Farbe.

Brown with a frothy, tan head. Caramel and hazelnut aroma with mild roast. Bittersweet in taste with toffee over roasted grains. Love the body which is creamy and very smooth, not heavy but there’s some chewiness. A tasty one!

On tap at Berggasthof in Obersalzburg, Germany. Clear medium brown pour. Frothy beige head. Light roasted malt aroma has a hint of nuttiness. Toasted malt flavor has a touch of caramel and herbalness. Light bodied for a Dunkel. Easy drinking, though nothing special. Tasted on 8/16/19.

50cl swing top bottle. A clear copper brown beer with a mid-sized most good lasting beige head. Aroma of caramelish dark malt, moderate roasted malt, nuts. Taste of moderate roasted dark malt, nuts, caramel, medium bitterness.

Bottle. Hazy orange brown, golden creamy lace. Dusty malt aroma. Medium full chewy body, mellow mouthfeel. Light roast, a bit caramel, ok balance, nothing special.

0,5 l swing top bottle. Clear dark copper in the glass with a big foamy light beige head. Strange metallic sourness on the nose with malt in the background. Taste starts more malty, low roasted. Caramell and some sweetness. Hopy elements in the second part, bready. Okay and enjoyable.

Dunkler, etwas bitterer Antrunk mit trockenen Röstnoten. Im weiteren Verlauf steigend malzig bei insgesamt konstanter Aromenvielfalt, unausgewogen. 9/6/5/5/8/5

Nice clean orange (!!) color, with a medium beige head, quite nice, but I don’t understand how this beer can be called Dunkel... The appearance is the only good point (if we don’t considerate the style!), unfortunately. The smell was very bad, I don’t know if there was some problems, but it smelled some kind of muff, like the skin of the sausage when starts to stink after too much muff! The taste was not so bad like the smell, it has some malts notes, but also in it there was something strange. Bad, really bad.
