(Draft at Akkurat, Stockholm, 10 May 2025) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with treacle, dark chocolate, espresso, a touch of smoke, hazelnuts and caramel. Malty, roasted, vinous taste with notes of dark chocolate, espresso, treacle, hazelnuts, coconut and a balanced coffee bitterness in a finish with a slightly boozy touch. Full body, quite sweet. Rich, tasty and powerful. Very nice.

On tap at Akkurat. Pours black with a tan head. Tons of bourbon barrels, coconut, hazelnuts, roasted malts. Flavour has tons of bourbon, roasted malts, some hazelnut. Nice and dry. Fantastic.

On tap at Akkurat, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is rich, with lots of coconut, bourbon, and a bit of toasted hazelnuts. Flavour is extremely rich, with lots of dark roasted malt, huge bourbon, and only little bits of coconut and hazelnut. Quite boozy but the bourbon and roast are really powerful. Excellent.

Can. A black one, with a small tan head. Lightly oily pour. The aroma has lots of lovely coffee, with a good boozyness, roasted malts, some cocoa and nuts, hints of prune and raisin, a vague coconut touch and hints of leather. Luckily the boozyness mellows a bit after some aeration. It's warming on the palate, full-bodied and with a light sweetness and a good bitterness. I think I'd like a tad more sweetness though. Lightly creamy carbonation. The flavor too has a good dash of booze, with roasted malts and lots of coffee. Leather, coconut, Brazil nut, hazelnut and pecan, some cocoa and a vague hint of salty licorice. Long warming finish with lots of dark flavors. It has mellowed a bit since first trying this beer around half a year ago, but I think it would be wise to store it even more. Still a delicious, big beer though. 231003

8-4-8-3-16 Sample from can @ Bergen Craft Beer Fest 23. Pours dark translucent maroon, with a small creamy head. Aroma is dark roasted malts, with bread, dark fruits and leather, as well as coconut and wooden notes. Creamy body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is dark roasted malts with dried fruits, coffee and muscovado, as well hazelnut, tobacco and wooden barrels.
