Cask at Bull & Stirrup, Chester. Pours a hazy golden brown with a sizeable foamy off-white head and good lacing. There’s malts and biscuits in the aroma – plus some hints of autumn fruits. In the mouth it starts off sweet and fruity, though somewhat watery before some bitterness creeps in. Flavour has floral hops, malts and dried apricots. Later on some hints of melon and tropical fruits come through as well. A little more bitterness in the finish. This is reasonable.

Half-pint, cask ale at Moon Under Water (JDW). Off-white head that laced quite well, dark amber body. Promising aromas of leafy hops and earthy malts. Mixed taste of caramel malts, biscuit, and leafy hops. Drying bitter close. Well made bitter version. (Hounslow, 03.11.2022).
