Our flagship beer has had a makeover to celebrate its 19th birthday! For this special batch we have added an array of dark malts to the brew to give this version it's unique look alongside the classic Jaipur flavours. It has been hugely fun to make and we hope everyone enjoys drinking it.

Cask @ Salopian, the pub. Pours dark, beige head. Aroma of dark treacle, pine. Flavour profile brings nice dark malt shades with amn appealing dark toffee sweetness and pleasant sappy hoppy bite. Good stuff.

Cask and finished the solo beer festival as I have to work tomorrow. Which is a bit of a shame.... Anyway, good pour and very well balanced with burnt malt and bitter hops. I do like a black IPA and I'm always sad that fad disappeared a number of years back. Maybe it's coming back? I can only hope. But is this a black IPA? I keep getting flashbacks to Old Peculiar..... I've got to go and find some food. Probably end up at the local Spoons. There may be updates.....

Cask at two trees watford. An opaque black brown coloured pour with a lasting khaki head. Aroma is semi sweet, cocoa, piney grassy hop,. Palate is semi sweet, good cask condition. Flavour is composed of big chocolate malts, cocoa, piney sap, toasted malts, assertive hop bitterness. Big and bold and punchy. Oily finish.

Deep dark brown with a frothy tan head and a fruity nose. Sweet up front with some roasted notes but mostly it’s the hoppy bitterness that hits you

Cask at Alexandra, Derby – and suitably celebrated as my 100th Thornbridge beer. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with minimal off-white head. There’s a fruity aroma with roasted malts to the fore. In the mouth it is quite sweet but with some underlying bitterness with roasted malts and hints of lactose. Later a good helping of coffee comes through as well plus traces of chocolate and vanilla. A little smokiness in the finish. This is rather nice – but not really anything like Jaipur.
