Cask at Head of Steam, Birmingham. Near black pour with nice beige to tanned head, great lacing. Roast, chocolate, peppermint which is not overdone and adds a nice element to this. Enjoyable.
Lots of peppermint, only vaguely stout. A bit like an After Eight mint. Surprisingly drinkable. Thanks to Mark Saunders for the tip off!

Cask at the Cardinals Hat Lincoln. Of black colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste are roasted malty and slight sweet mint. Medium body.

Keg draught at the Ale Wagon, Leicester. Dark brown and translucent with a small khaki/tan head. Aroma is strong on the mint but you can detect the roasty malt underneath. Tastes sweet, loads of peppermint alongside some caramel. Both fade to reveal hop bitterness. Okay, it's a tiny bit artificial but even so it really works. Top stuff.

Deep, dark brown, near black, with a frothy/creamy tan head and roasted malt with a touch of mint on the nose. Taste is all mint chocolate to be honest, a touch thin with subtle roasted malt underneath the After Eight-ness
