Cask at the Cardinals Hat, Lincoln. almost black color with a tan head. Aroma and taste are roasted malty slight bitter and vanilla sweet. medium body.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours almost black with minimal cream head. The aroma is mainly vanilla. In the mouth it is sweet and creamy with flavour of vanilla lactose and roast malts. Some liquorice comes through later. Finish is dry and quite fruity. This is decent but not overwhelming.
