Rated at Pien Shop. Sweet, surprisingly light bodied, but intense with barrel notes, hints of vanilla and chocolate, some earthiness and fruitiness, even some warming alcohol. A bit unbalanced, previous vintages were better

Flat, deep dark pour. Aroma is slightly sweet boozy, dark sugar, bourbon, old rope, oak, dark malts, vanilla, cough syrup, bark, chocolate, toast. Taste is sweet sour-ish boozy, dark sugar, booze, oak, cough syrup, minerals, bark, dark malts, vanilla, anise, licorice. Medium to longlasting bitterness, sweet sour-ish boozy mouthfeel. Nice enough.

Crowler from Tjaps, Amersfoort Vathorst. Pours like motor oil, pitch black, thick, oily, with no head. Aroma's: sweet, alcohol, bourbonny, fudge, fruity alcohol, roasty. Retronasal it's sweet, with fruity alcohol, cherry, chocolate. Flavour is sweet with light cherry-ish sourness. Fairly strong alcohol feel without being too sharp. Full bodied, velvetty mouthfeel. Long finish with a little wood. Lives up to its name (but not to its price).
