Aus der Flasche (bottled 19.10.2023 - bbe 1910.2028) im 2025-04 getrunken. Ein IPA mit Rogge und Rauch? Das ist schon eine Ansage wo ich deutliche Hopfen und Rauch schon einzeln im Bier nur bis zu einem bestimmten Grad ertrage. Aber was macht man nicht alles für die Wissenschaft. Hier sind zwar der Hopfeneinfluss und auch die Räucherspeck Aromen nicht sehr stark, aber sie harmonieren gar nicht und stehen sperrig nebeneinander. Nein, das hier ist reine Arbeit das zu trinken und das will ich nicht. Leider ab in den Ausguß.

Bottle. Color: Hazy amber, off-white head. Aroma: Hoppy, subtle smoke and citrus fruit. Taste: Hoppy, floral and subtle citrus fruit, some caramel, subtle smoke and spicy rye notes. Slightly soapy. Moderate sweet, over moderate bitterness. Medium body, just below average crbonation. OK IPA with a twist.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is resinous hop with soft smoke, rye, orange, bready grain,, pine resin. Flavour is fairly bitter with a light sweetness. Medium body. Piney, smoked rye, good.

Borefts 2024. A clear amber beer with a white head. Aroma of resinous hops, red malt, red fruits. Taste of piney hops, spruce, caramel, red malt. Long bitter finish.

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierloods22', best before August 2025. Slightly hazy, deep reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish-malty, quite fruity, gently smoky, slightly resiny aroma of orange jam, mango, some smoked ham and hints of pine. Rather sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite fruity, gently smoky and slightly resiny taste of orange jam, mango, black tea, smoked ham, some pine and light ash, followed by a medium long, gently bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Solid one, a bit unround and disharmonious though.

Op tap bij Borefts '24. Amber kleur, witte kraag. Ruikt groen, gerook, bacon of eigenlijk meer borrelnoot bacon, beetje kunstmatig, overtuigt niet.
