Bottle at home shared with Laura. Beautiful autumnal red- brown color, small off-white head. Aroma is malts, light raisins, brown candy sugar. Flavor is malts, brown candy sugar, light alcohol. Don't really get Oak aging tbh, but as the original is great as well this is absolutely not a punishment to drink. --- Beer merged from original tick of Quadrupel Oak Aged Batch #51 on 20 Dec 2024 at 21:16 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7.5 | Flavor - 7.5 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8.5. Original review text: Bottle at home, but from memory, had this a while ago but my rating seems to have disappeared or I had a failed upload without noticing. Remember the base beer was still very much present in this BA variant, which I think is good as the base beer is very good and able to carry the barrels they put it on. Hints of red wine and maybe light brandy. Might not be fully accurate though since, as I said in the beginning, it's tough to rate from memory.

Bottle. Color: Lightly hazy amber, beige head. Aroma: Vinuous, raisins, caramel, malty, bopzy Cognac-like. Taste: Smooth, almost creamy, raisins, Cognac-like notes, subtle nuts and hints of almond, marzipan. Over moderate sweet, light bitterness. Over medium body, low carbonation. Nice.
