Keg at CPK - London. Pours deep brown with a staunch, creamy beige head. Nice milk chocolate aroma, a little burnt wood, charred marshmallows. Medium sweet flavor with scorched earth and wood bitterness, some dried fruits, dirty grass. Medium bodiednwith soft carbonation. Bittersweet chocolate on the finish, some sturdy toasted malts, more burnt wood. OK overall.

Bottle from @Domus Birrea, Rome. Pours black with nice brown head. Aroma is great, dark chocolate, roasted malts, laurel, hops, coffee. Taste is nicely roasted from the coffee and the malts, reasonable bitterness, dark chocolate, silky and somewhat sharp from the roasted stuff, tabacco,hops, medium sweetness, longlasting taste. At the 8th tasting (round 2), held in Vranovo and Pozarevac. Bottle. Pours coffee bean color, brownish medium foam. Nose: lactose, coffee (mild). Mouth: watery feel, coffee, bitter overall. Pretty round and balanced.

Handpump @Ma che siete venuti a fà (Rome). Pours deep brown with a persistent cappuccino foam. Aroma of roasted malts, lots of coffee and grassy hops, light chocolate notes. Flavour is medium sweet with a strong bitter end, perhaps too much. Medium body, light carbonation. Good.

Bottled@HBF2015. Black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is fruity, some liquorice, mild roasted malts, tobacco and some burnt sugary notes. Flavour is tobacco, liquorice, some fruitiness, mild toasted notes as well as some raisins and plum to it as well.

Cask @ Fiera della Birra di Ferrara, Nov 2013 courtesy of the Olmo crew. Brune foncée, col blanc cassé, doré au verre. Arôme offre un bouquet profond malté, entre chocolaté et grillé sur des notes off-café légèrement amer. Palais est malté et grillé, avec ici aussi un chocolaté agréable restant sur une approche bien anglaise. Léger grillé-café accompagné d’une petit note d’amertume. Bonne effervescence, arrière gout de café-choco noir amer? sur une touche de toffee. Fini garde juste ce petit ajout amer houblonné.
