At the end of the day, when Japanese factories and offices begin to empty, it is the Izakayas—Japanese pubs—that are full. And in all of them, one request is certain: Nama Biru, which means “live/raw beer”, that is, unpasteurized and ultra fresh. Our Nama Biru is crisp, dry, delicate and extremely refreshing, as if it had been taken directly from the tap. With a delicious combination of Sorachi Ace and Lemondrop hops, this canned draft beer will surprise you.

US Pint can from Hi Time Wines, Costa Mesa. Poured into an old Corsendonk stemmed tulip glass at my daughters in Laguna Hills on 10th April 2025. Nipon-Women Brazilian Brewers says the can, it also says Brewed by Japas, Chicago, IL, so you guess where it's actually from. Hazy urine yellow, snow white head. You almost smell the rice and you certainly taste it in the flavour. Luckily it's very hot today and this is helping to quench my thirst without reverting to drinking more water. Bought purely for a new Brazilian tick as I don't see many at home in Shropshire!

Pours a hazy yellow from a can. Swells super sweet, flavor of sweet rice. Not sure how they call this dry, it is anything but. Okay beer.
