Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is bready malt and spicy yeast with notes of ripe banana and clove. Flavour is mild to medium sweet and moderate bitter. Medium body. Fairly bitter for a Dunkelweizen.

Bottle on 5th January 2025 from Brouwerij’t IJ, Amsterdam. Pours slightly hazy copper with short lived shallow, yellowy white foam and scant lacing. Malt and tangy citrus in aroma. Spicy maltiness and juicy citrus fruits in-mouth, with spicy bitterness and maltiness dominating the finish. Light to medium bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierloods22', best before July 2025. Slightly hazy, deep reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish-malty, gently yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity aroma of caramel, overripe banana, clove, nutmeg, dark honey and light raisins. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite yeasty-spicy and a little fruity taste of overripe banana, caramel, toasted nuts, dark honey, coriander, clove and some cocoa with traces of raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth but quite effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant spicy Weizen, very well-brewed.

Bottle 33cl. from a local AH supermarket @home poured into a teku glass. Clear medium amber, good frothy off-white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma toasted wheat malt, caramel, caramelized candy sugar, light banana, spicy notes. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, light roast, caramel, caramelized candy sugar, light banana, spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, spicy touch, not your typical dunkelweizen but tasty, very nice.
