A bold and loud West Coast-Style IPA, Head Stock rocks a catchy melody of pine and grapefruit notes that perfectly harmonize with undertones of refreshing hop bitterness.

Shades of Phillip’s Hop Circle! A nice combination of piney, citrus, grassy and astringent grapefruit tastes in the hop profile (the grapefruit is closer to the rind than the centre!). This is a challenging, slightly astringent IPA, but very well done. Some tasty sweet malts eventually fight their way through the dominant punchy hops.

It is a regular IPA, not so bitter than some American, citrus, pineapple, resinous aromas at the final and mineral, a bit watery, 27.10.17, drinking it at the pibar, Lausanne with some friends.

On tap at the CNE.
Light hops, more pine than citrus. Big malt notes, maltier than hoppy. Slight roast, medium bitter finish. Meh.
Years later, Nickel Brook have dialed this beer in. This is now arguably the best widely available ipa in Ontario. Huge citrus notes, loads of grapefruit and citrus zest. My go to when it’s fresh. Outstanding.

Can, 0.473l. Aroma of orange, grape fruit, peach and pine. Pours cloudy golden color with large soapy white head, great lacing and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts refreshing citrusy and tropical fruity with melon note, following is medicinal, herbal and biscuity, mouthfeel is rather dry, while finish is pretty bitter. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. No headache with this one…

Als West Coast Style IPA - schöne Dose. Sehr fruchtig in der Nase, Citrus, Pinien, im Trunk sehr fruchtig, dezent bitter, wieder die Pinien, sehr schöne Würze, blumig, fast schon süffig, sehr lecker. Optisch auch hübsch anzusehen, tolle Perlung, ordentlich Schaum. Top gear!

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a medium, fluffy, long lasting, white head that leaves thick, soapy lacing. Sweet aroma of grainy caramel malt, orange peel and floral hops. Sweet flavour of grainy caramel malt, orange peel, peach, grapefruit and piney hops in a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. A solid West Coast IPA.
