Can from LCB, unknown BBE. Hazy pale gold with decent white foam. Nice fruity tropical aroma of papaya, pineapple, hint of zest and funk. The latter is more notable in the flavour with pine, lemon zest and papaya. Bitter grapefruit like finish. Medium bodied, semi-drying, fine carbonation. A bit more punchy and funky than your average IPA so yeah the concept works here.

(Draught at Mother Kelly's Bethnal Green, London, 10 May 2024) Cloudy golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, grapefruit, pineapple and pine needles. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, lemon peel, biscuits, pineapple, pine needles and a balanced citric/piney bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Fresh and tasty, quite dry for a NEIPA. Very nice.

Hazy golden, white head. Light zesty aroma. Flavour has lemon, grapefruit, some grassy hop. Feels kinda light for the stength, not especially punchy or leaning into the flavours and tastes a lot lighter. Fine but not notable.

Can from Great Grog. Hazy pale golden body with a white head that holds well. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of pine and pineapple. Flavour of orange and dry grass. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A solid IPA but not quite racking the heights of Overtone’s finest.
