Lycanthropy is a blend of various golden ales, which have spent 12-22 months aging to perfection in red wine barrels with our signature culture of wild yeasts and lactobacillus. After packaging, the beer has been cellared for a further 8 months to give it adequate time to rest and settle. The end result is a lush, tart, and extremely tannic wild ale that will appeal to both wine and beer drinkers alike!

MBCC. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity, tart, wood and light red wine. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate acidic. Dry and moderate acidic finish. 100524

Tap @ MBCC. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are lactose acid, quite sour, fruits and has a nice sour finish.

Bottle at tasting 09-07-2022. Poured intense orange looking. Bretta attack, funky nose, red berries, wood and white wine notes. Excellent stuff. Tart and mouthdrying.

On tap @ Juova Hanahuone. Orange golden bit hazy beer with almost no head. Aroma has yeast, sour notes, berries and wood. Taste is dry with wood, tart and sour notes with yeast. Tart, woody and bitter. Medium body and carbonation, very tarty. Edit. Actually this is Blend #2, 2022.

(Keg at Craft Beer Garden 2021) The beer poured deep golden and cloudy. Its head was small and white. Aroma had wood, tartness, fruitiness and lightly stomach acids. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, tartness, wood, lightly vinegar, red currant and bitterness. Aftertaste was tart, fruity and bitter. A delicious tart brew with subtle woody notes.
