750mL bottled 3/3/2023, drunk 7/31/25.
Clear, darker bronze-brass-golden with a firm, off-white head.
Fruity, soft, with mild lactic acid and nutty, crusty wheat. Minimal barrel/oak. Not very funky, per Tilquin, but some rustic notes, let's say. Mild berry, mild Brett. Good attenuation.
Soft, with a zesty lacto undercurrent propelled by light oak and tight carbonation. Bit of juicy brett, good tartness, but no funk. Lots of strawberry and lacto. For 7% abv, this is a lot weaker, waterier and such than most 5% abv lambics. Really not all that interesting of flavor. Brett, lacto, light wood, light berry, chewy/nutty wheat. Sure, it's clean and drinkable with no flaws, but this is not why I drink lambic (for the most part). Tilquin is such a head-scratcher of a brewery.
Great balance. Full and grainy with a delicate tartness and lots of woody dryness.

Funk, horse blanket, bold body, some sweetness. Intense, sharp and bold, minerally. Fantastic!

750mL bottle at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, pours a cloudy orange, tiny white head. Aroma is full of wonderful barnyard funk, leather, horse blanket, and a touch of citrus zest. Flavour is complex, with plenty of barnyard funk, horse blanket, leather, and dry citrus zest. Wonderful funk character here. Fantastic.
