Draught @ Proeflokaal Arendsnest, Herengracht 90, Amsterdam, Netherlands 1015 BS. [ As De Kromme Haring Inktvis Black IPA ].Unclear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, fruity malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, wood, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, wood, dry, roasted, fruity hops. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160922] 7-3-7-3-15

On tap at the brewpub. Almost black colour, beige head. Aroma of floral hops, mango, liquorice, ash, caramel. Flavour of liquorice, caramel, ash, salmiak, some fruity hops, bitter finish. Light bodied, a bit fizzy. Nice.

On tap at Proeflokaal Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Pours dark brown with beige head. Roasted malts, hoppy, grassy, sweetish with bitter finish. Smooth. Medium bodied.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 18 Sep 2016) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, liquorice and pine needles. Malty, roasted, hoppy taste with liquorice, black rye bread, pine needles, grapefruit and a generous piney, citric bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well made black IPA with a fresh citric hop character. Nice one.

Hopfig malziger Antrunk, trocken, etwas rauchig. Moderate Herbe, zurückhaltend bitter-hopfig. Spritzig, der Hopfen steigt zum Ende an, sehr trocken, entsprechend kurzer Nachhall. 11/10/10/10//10

Tap. Black color with beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, cat piss, berries. Taste is more roasted malts, the hops also shine through, with a nice dry bitter finish. High carbonation. Nice!
