Clear ruby-brown beer with a thin off-white head. Aroma.has malt, caramel and dried fruit. Flavour has sweet malt, rich caramel, dried fruit, apple, a little bitter hop, some citrus. Nice, smooth and richy body with just a hint of boozy warmth. Beautifully balanced and very tasty.

Bottles from Cork & Cask. Clear amber/brown body with a little thin beige head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of treacle, leather and wood. Flavour of raisin, toffee, cigar and prune. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. This is sublime; it reminds me of Fuller’s Vintage Ale. I love Traquair beers. I think it’d be great if Traquair released a few more off-off beers as I think they’d become more recognised and appreciated as the excellent brewery they are.
