Brewed with our friends at Highland Park Brewery, this stout is stuffed with chocolate and roast barley malts and was aged for a year in premium bourbon barrels. Aromas of semi-sweetened dark chocolate, fig, and vanilla meet flavors of bourbon and baking spices. Simultaneously viscous and smooth, and delivered in a limited-edition 500 mL bottle, this collaboration is not to be missed.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a small dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some bourbon notes with vanilla and residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some bourbon notes and vanilla with balanced residual sugar notes. Body is full with an oily texture and good carbonation with no real discernible alcohol notes. Enjoyable BA stout with great balance between bourbon and residual sugar notes.

Rating number 8,700. 500 ml bottle from Tavour. Opaque dark brown color. Frothy brown head settles to a small cap. Aromas of dark chocolate, oak and bourbon. Flavor upfront is sweet roasted malt, brown sugar, bourbon and oak. Added notes of vanilla and dark dried fruits. The high ABV is barely noticeable. Finishes sweet and sticky.

Pours a jet black body and a nice brown head that doesn't last long. Aroma's: sweet, bourbon, alcohol, (red) fruity. Retonasal it's sweet, brown sugar, bourbon, dark fudge, rye. Flavour is heavy sweet, but not cloying, bourbon-y. Medium bodied. Fairly soft carbonation. Warming alcohol. Finishes with molasses, still sweet, but also light roast and bitterness. Sweet but delicious.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has light bourbon barrels, a touch of pineapple, and light roast. Flavour has plenty of pineapple (WTF?), with light bourbon barrels, and a touch of roast. Very pineapple-y, which rather detracts from the barrels and complexity of the malts. Yet, it's still very good, just not at the heights of many FW beers.
