As part of our Barrel Aged project, where patience and constant evaluation are key, this beer highlights our dedication to craftsmanship. The complex malt bill gives it a full body with intense aromas of smoke and peat. These aromas are followed by flavors of espresso, malt, and dark chocolate. Through careful barrel aging, each batch is monitored and refined to ensure a perfect balance. The result is a rich, flavorful beer that embodies the art of brewing and the benefits of time and precision.

Can from Hopduvel.
A: cloudy black, small, foamy, dark beige head.
A: lots of tobacco, peated whisky & peat, espresso, fondant, salmiak.
T: sweetish prune, bitter coffee, cream, smoke & salt.
F: earthy hops, tobacco, fondant, warming peated whisky alcohol.
P: full body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
Strong Ardbeg presence obviously. Very good, probably a love-it-or-hate-it thing.

Small greige head over jet-black beer. Peat, Islay whisky, roast, tarred poles. Sweet roast, grains, Islay malt (*). Bit of rubber. Furious alcoholheat; sticky oily feel, full bodied. Very good, absolutely convincing. I confess: I paired it with a shot of Ardbeg 10 years. (*) Ardbeg is also a rather sweet Islay.

Dark brown. There's a lot of Ardbeg on the nose, and again on the palate. The stout base isn't mild, but it's mostly serving to hold up all that peat smoke. Basically, gives body and malt richness to Ardbeg, which is a really good idea. A touch of chocolate, which complements this well.

330mL can, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma has a wonderfully smoky whiskey barrels, smoked meat, and moderate roast. Flavour reveals some serious char, with huge smoked whiskey barrels, medium roast, dry smoked meat, and burnt sugars. Very smoky, woody, and surprisingly dry. Excellent.
