We loved Small Batch Project #2 so much that we have based the single hop Motueka pale entirely off that recipe. Expect a beautiful drinking experience laden with lime zing, creamy fruity tang and lemon thyme herbal notes. The first of our small batch tests to make it to the big leagues

Cloudy beige blond beer, creamy off-white head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: oh my, lovely, very dank, super fruity, juicy, tropical fruits, marijuana, sweet impression, some bubble gum, almonds, marzipan. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: good bitterness, fruity, juicy, lots of citrus, sweet, pretty dank, nice, grassy, some marijuana, tropical fruits, nice bitterness. Aftertaste: grapefruit, a little dank, grassy, bitter, zesty, some tropical fruits, juicy, herbal, some rosemary, lovely! Slightly sweet, malty caramel touch in the finish with a hint of marijuana.

On tap at Drinkøtéka. Pours murky dull yellow with a white head. Berries and cheese on the nose. Flavour is also very cheesy somehow, some chalky astringency. Not particularly good.

Tap at Drinkøteka. Hazy deep golden body, off-white head. Oniony, sharp aroma, bit resinous, bit citric. Medium-light body, some clean maltiness, soft. Citric taste, resinous, bit oniony, bit sweetish and stone fruity. Nice body, okay taste, the aroma is a bit much, but fine overall.

With Bjørn t Melkebaren. Cloudy peach colour. Refreshing aroma and taste of pale malt, apricot, marmalade snd strawberries. Good.

Can. Aroma is melon, mandarin, some guava, peach. Light to medium body. Flavour is not sweet at all, nice malt flavours. Lots of citrus flavours, especially mandarin and sweet lime, melon, grassy hops and a slightly bittersweet finish. A nice NZ pale, a bit watery especially in the finish but a lovely flavour profile overall.

44cl can from AbeerVinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours slightly orange, hazy, with fine white foam. Aroma is intensely floral, citrus and partially tropical. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is moderately bitter, with a bit of cereal sweetness. Final is average.
