Draught @ De Mederie. Pours an unclear pale gold. Aroma of bittersweet apple fruit. Natural cider air, a moderate sour tang with richly sweet apple fruit. Nicely done.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 30.06.2025) im 2025-08 getrunken. Dieses gelbe Cider kommt mit kräftigen Aromen von bitteren Äpfeln und funky Pferdeäpfel/Misthaufen-Noten, wo gerade letztere anfangs schwer einzuordnung sind. Aber nach etwas Arbeit am Glas mit diesen eher ungewöhnlichen Aroma bleibt im Glas ein echt spannendes Cider.

From tap at Constellation, Budapest, 19.07.25. Translucent golden straw colour. Excellently complex aroma and taste of sour wild apples, wild apple yeast, and a hint of brett. Dry and slightly astringent mouthfeel. Good!

Clear golden colour, small white head. Aroma of very dry sour apples, sulfur. Taste of very dry sour white apples, funk, mealy mouthfeel.

Bouteille 37.5cl au Bar Rebel, Ixelles. Harvest 2021, BB 06/2025.
Dorée sur un léger pâle, col blanc peu tenace.
Un bouquet floral frais et une belle pointe de pomme qui se retrouve surtout au niveau de la mousse et s'estompe par après. Dommage.
Palais est sec, acerbe marqué avec une acidité tout autant marquée et classique des pommes normandes. Le côté barrique est plutôt discret avec une petite note fraiche rappelant un côté vin/whisky avec un côté presque tourbé. La fin reste sur le fruité pomme avec une note florale.
In fine, plutôt déçu, surtout pour le prix. Avec une étiquette pas vraiment claire sur le type de barrique.

375ml bottle. Pours gold which becomes murky as you empty the bottle. A lot drier than standard Normandy cider, soft tannic caress, oaky touch with a pleasant pure fruit feel and wild English-style touches from the natural fermentation. Unusual to taste cider like this from Belgium.

Clear gold yellow cider, no head. Aroma: lots of fresh pressed apples, apple juice, some green apples (Granny Smidt), slightly funky. MF: lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: lots and lots of apple juice, nice acidity, apple acid, pretty tart, a little smoky touch, pretty dry. Aftertaste: some sweet apple juice, lots of sour apples, a bit lemony. Very pleasant one!

Clear golden, thin, white head. Aroma of ripe apple & pear, grape, biscuit, wood. Taste has sweet-sour apple & grape, some funky straw. Woody finish, tart grape, softly vinous. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Refreshing, nice tannic touch.

Clear amber cider, small creamy to aery off-white head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: apple juice, cider, sweet apples, nice stuff! MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, soft acidity, not sweet but lots of fresh apples, very effervescent, dry. Aftertaste: sourish, very refreshing, some sour apples, tannins, dry, nice stuff!
