330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 16.0%, IBU 50. Hazy brown colour, minimal and shortlived off-white head. Boozy aroma of oak, brandy, raw alcohol, over-ripe fruits, dark dried fruits, pipe tobacco. The flavour is better, and has notes of armagnac and cognac, oak and dark dried fruits, a hint of tobacco.

Sampled @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2024, Friday. Hazy amber beer with a beige head. Aroma and Taste of dried fruits, caramel, strong sweet malt, honey, boozy finish.

Pours clear, dark amber. Small white head. Scent is bisquit, coockie, aged candy . Refined and complex. Taste is smooth and elegant. very boozy, dried fruits. Way to alcoholic, let appart from it to be enjoyable.

Bottle. An unclear golden to amber colored beer with a dense, finger-thick beige head. Some lacing. The aroma leads my mind towards a heavy Barley Wine, not a Malt Liquor, but that's just fine. Alcohol, booze, caramel, toffee notes, some bready and lightly roasted malts, lots of dark dried fruit and a touch of the spirit. Some hints of oak. It's full-bodied and warming, but not intensely warming, sweet but with a decent bitterness, and with a good carbonation. Dried fruit, sweetness, some bready malts, toffee, caramel, booze, oak and some vanilla hints, a light touch of old tobacco and leather, brown sugar and some piney hints and then some booze again in the flavor. And even more booze actually. But it's in a nice way, just like drinking a quality barrel aged spirit like Armagnac or Cognac. Even more caramel and dark dried fruit in the finish. To be honest, I haven't had high hopes for this one, but it's actually pretty nice. Not sure I'll buy more than this bottle, but in days of less beers available I certainly would. Am a bit curious how this will age. 241027
