20.09.2024, 0,33l bottle (#1709/2400) @ home:
Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, cloudy dark amber color. Aroma is slightly sweet fruity, raisins, candi sugar, fruit stones, alcohol, oak, caramel malts, spices. Taste is sweet sour-ish boozy, fruit stones, oak, candi sugar, dried dark fruits, booze, bark, grass, burnt wood, medicine, caramel malts. Longlasting harsh bitterness, dry boozy mouthfeel. Fair enough, but not really my cup of coffee.

Bottle @ home. Unclear amber body under a beige head. Strong an delicate aroma of malt, caramel, dry fruit and vinous alcohol. Taste is sweet and bold with malt, soft caramel, dry fruit, distinct but balancing bitterness and warming alcohol. Fine body with long lasting, pleasant aftertaste. A nice sipper, the Armagnac flavor is not very clear and the alcohol it’s surprisingly smooth for a 16% ABV beer. Well made and fun experinece with a bad reputated style.
