Sour with Raspberry and Licorice.

Morgondagens Dead Head är en syrlig Berliner Weisse smaksatt med hallon och lakrits. Ölet är släkt med det där dödskallegodiset som finns i varenda godisaffär, men det är inte lika svårtuggat.

Swedish 'designer sour', a Florida Weisse with raspberries and liquorice. Pinkish-lilac, mousy, papery lacing head, hazy deep vermillion red robe with ruby hue. Aroma of indeed lots of fresh, actual red raspberries, rosehip, Roosvicée, bergamot, yoghurt, pomegranate, raw rhubarb, green garden weeds and the liquorice adding a tea-like aromatic effect. Tart onset, lots of raspberry sourness and equally strong in raspberry sweetness, juicy but 'real' with that 'greenish' plant-like edge to it; lemony lactic sourness underneath, fizzily carbonated with a yoghurty and wheaty middle, slender but smooth, carrying this truckload of raspberry freshness to an aromatic finish, with slight tannic raspberry seed effect; the liquorice again remains in the background as a herbal-ethereal aromatic aspect without actually being explicitly liquorice-like. Simple but refreshing and 'honest' Florida Weisse, very easily drinkable, but the style is not really mine.

Interesting. Pinkish red with very unstable, rough foam. Smells sour raspberry. Taste is pretty heavy sour, with lots of raspberry (but beer comes first). Licorice is present as a hint in the aftertaste, like you ate some ten minutes ago. Fun and tasty.

330ml can. Hazy to murky, red/crimson colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, pink-ish head. Intense, fruity, full-blown raspberry aroma with earthy, fruity and fruit acidic aspects, a leafy touch of nori. Taste is tart, fruity, slightly lactic and fruit acidic, notes of raspberry, a touch of lemon, minimally sugary, caramel malty basis.

Can. Pinkish color. Cloudy. Red berries in the aroma. Sour, wheaty flavor with loads of red berries. Ugly but quite pleasant.

Can, presented as a Candy Weisse, a beery imitation of Swedish raspberry and licorice skull candy. Color: Hazy pinkish red, pink head. Aroma: Strong sweet and tart raspberry. Taste: Dense mouthfeel, strong, almost artificial moderate to medium sweet and tart raspberry. Light to moderate bitterness. Some notes of mineral water. Hints of liquorice, going to stronger liquorice notes and far less raspberry at the finish, with bit sticky and dry-ish mouthfeel. Pretty weird, yet enjoyable Berliner Weisse-like stuff with more body than most Berliner Weisses. Medium body, below average carbonation. I don't know this Swedish skull candy, but I can imagine this beer is a good imitation.
