375 ml. bottle. No date. Light strawberry jam appearance, less dark than hopped, no real head. Nose is fermenting wild strawberry, thin raspberry jam fizz, weird fermenting heavy red fruit juice. Zero carbonation as expected. Taste is cranberry, vinegar, flat, raspberry, strawberry, vinegar juice, basic little funk, spoiled fruit vinegar. Fruit is not bad at all but too thin, flat, basic vinegar,… Not the best Hanssens but decent even if bad on a technical level. You get some vinegar burn after a while - ah Hanssens never change.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up online. Pours clear reddish purple with a bubbly, short-lived white head. Intense, aggressive, has some nice tart berry character, a little drying wood, but overbearing acidity. Light to medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. Sharp finish, lots of acidic bite, some throat burn. Kind of immediately gets your stomach grumbling when it gets down there. Hard to drink much of this beer.

too much acid, it would be an excellent beer with less acid

375mL bottle, pours a murky rusted red with almost no head. Nose brings out an interesting melange of red berries, with gentle balsamic, and no signature lambic funk. Flavour is enamel-strippingly sour, with intense balsamic, very sour fruits, and light phenols. Really? This is not Hanssens' typical quality -- harsh, insanely sour, and enamel-stripping. This is very bad.

Bottle at home. Almost clear ruby with no head. Lots of fresh jammy fruits, strawberries, raspberries and some cherries, I don’t really get much blueberries. Dank funk, old wood, soft yoghurt and glue. Balsamico, lemon juice. Very sour, light sweet. Medium bodied with no carbonation. Damn this is sour! Not as ridiculous as some Hanssen, but this seems like it’s just no healthy. Belgians making fun of US spurs should drink this, it’ll literally wipe the smile of their faces and remove their teeth in the process.

Bottle @ Oluf Bagers Gade, 5 kilo. Pours deep reddish with a very small pinkish head. Massive acetone, wood and vomit. Sweet red fruit. Musty matured. Quite intense. Thankfully there is no burn when swallowing. Quite heavy still but very Hanssens like.

Poured from a 375 ml bottle. Aroma is very medicinal with lots of cherry and lighter berry notes. Faint oak notes and low phenolic mustiness. Pours a purple-red with a small, faint, thin, slightly pink head that recedes quickly and disappears. No lacing or legs. Flavor is rather acidic with a faint sweetness. Fairly strong fruit notes and faint oak notes. Lots of cherry notes and a bit more berry notes than in the aroma. A bit less medicinal notes than in the aroma. Light phenolic notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation. Low, but present astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer but it's overly acidic and lacking lambic funk. The fruit is also rather strong and a bit medicinal in the aroma.

Small reddish rim over deep-ruby beer. Cherries, honey, acetic acid, bit floral. Cherries' nose gets intense. Acetic "Stich" upon somewhat sweeter red berries flavour. Acetic old cherry liqueur, as ripened in old barriques. Lactic acid, fruitacids. Very serious acidburn, thinning, yet quite slick. Sharp, nowhere I mals /I. Special one.

Bottle at home. Pours unclear bright red with thin ring head. Massive jammy red fruits, cherry and raspberries are most outspoken, red currant-like sour berries are a strong third. Strong sour, rusty and mighty sharp down the throat. Theres lacto sour and pure battery acid with a light gluey touch. Pretty rough but at the same time very rich and sweet for a Hanssens. Over medium body and soft carbonation. Though it gets milder when it warms up a little, it also contains flat bitter irony notes reminiscent of blood. Or maybe the sour has given me a nosebleed.
