Refreshing Light Summer Lager
A refreshing lager for blazing days, Summerfest balances delicate yet complex malt alongside spicy, floral hops. Hints of lemon zest lead into a crisp finish, and the sessionable 5% ABV invites another round of this summertime beer that pours golden bright like the sun.

2014 bottle from QClub at home. Very light (too light) straw yellow pour. Aroma is slightly hoppier than a Tsingtao or similar. Taste is unremarkable - again, slightly slightly hoppier than a macrolager. Boring - disappointed.

Bottle, 0.355l. Clear golden color with small frothy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of herbal hops, must, flowers with some skunky notes. Taste starts with light sweet grainy malt, follows by citric and grassy acidity, crisp and dry mouthfeel, while finish is quite bitter. Light to medium body, thin texture and lively carbonation in palate. Message to Sierra - do not brew this anymore...

Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks zvsn. 2014 bottle. Slightly hazy yellow. Aroma of grains, a bit of hops and light oxidation. Sweetish grainy flavor with a bit of cardboard and a bitterish finish. Quite light-bodied.

Draft at Special Brews. Figured this beer would fit well with the outdoor situation. Pours yellow with a lasting fizzy head. An odd, less than appealing aroma. Lighter grainy flavor with a grassy finish. Nothing about this beer was standing out, however it was very drinkable and semi refreshing on a hot day. I guess I expected a bit more, but not bad.

Clear golden color, white head. Aroma of hay and citrus. Medium body. More complex than most lagers, nice citrus notes, good bitter finish.
