Very clear golden and light copper tinted body with a very tall, nice microfoamed tan head, about five to six centimetres tall that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of citrus fruits, deep yeast and malt notes with a quite pungent dose of bread and even cheese, with a slight grainy note on the end. Medium to almost Full-bodied; Deep and pungent, very bitter hop flavours dominate with pine, resin, grapefruit, hay, metal, fresh-cut grass, all ending with a dash of apricots and stone fruit. Aftertaste is very robust and quite bitter from all the alpha acids of the hops, with some balanced grainy malt notes, but the dryness from the malt, grass and especially the grapefruit/apricot flavours persist and lead to more bitterness. Overall, a nice and quite old school (read: bitter from the hops) IPA that tastes like a true Imperial IPA and seemingly doesn't hide any of the alcohol (this tastes every bit of eight per cent and perhaps even more!), but I'd say this is a plain IPA, and a nice, very flavourful one, at that. Great to sample especially fresh, from a producer that's hard to find on a nice snow day here in D.C. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Joe Canal's in Lawrenceville, New Jersey on 21-December-2020 for US$5,49 sampled at my house here in Washington on 31-January-2021.

Oh man. Meer van dit. Geweldige imperial IPA. Geen Capri Sun Eurodisney Slimpie ranja milkshake, maar keiharde bittere groene hop met een vleugje hars en conifeer. Super goed dit.
