A brew you can drink for breakfast. A beer to reward yourself with after a hard day's work. Or if your hard day's work is mowing the lawn, consider drinking on the job. Weighing in at 4.5 ABV, Rudie begins with a big fruity hop aroma of pears and watermelon candy, but is relatively low in actual bitterness, lending itself perfectly to those moments when you want to drink beer, but need to hold it together - or not.

Can at Rose & Thistle, Frimley Green. Grassy hoppy aroma. Bright gold. Initial frothy head, as gushed when can popped, however still had a couple of inches when it settled. Light and frothy. Not overly bitter, but hoppy. Not a particularly strong finish, but a nice enough aftertaste. Decent Session IPA.

Can pour into shaker pint glass. Aroma is floral, bready malts, fruit. Appearance is clear yellow with nice sparkle, finger-width foamy white head with fair retention and no lacing. Taste is sweet floral, citrus, over malty backdrop with bittersweet grapefruit. Palate is light bodied with thin texture and average to lively carbonation with lightly bitter finish. Overall, light and refreshing.
