Proper Job is an authentic IPA brewed with Cornish spring water and malt made from a blend of malts including Cornish grown Maris Otter barley.
Proper Job is dedicated to the 32nd (Cornwall) Regiment who stoutly defended their garrison during the Indian Mutiny in 1857-58. Throughout
the siege the traditional "Sunset Ceremony" (beating the retreat and lowering the national flag) was ignored as an act of defiance to the mutineers. In recognition of a "Proper Job" Queen Victoria awarded the 32nd the honour.

Cask @ Old Inn, Poldhu. Clear gold with a decent white head. Aroma of citrus fruits. Taste of malts, citrus fruits and grains. Grainy bitterness. Low carbonation. Ok.

Cask @ The Boathouse, Shrewsbury. Hazy gold pour, good white head. Tastes like a completely different beer on cask, which may or may not be due to condition. Comes across quite watery with a mild sticky hop bitterness on the finish. I've had this tasting incredible in bottle before. Seems a bit sad to have it in a such poor state.

Cask at The Princess of Wales, Blackheath. A relatively uninspiring cask IPA here. Dark gold. Less Hop forward than bottled version.

Surprised I've never rated this in cask form before , rectified now though. Pint in The Atlantic, St Mary's on the Isles of Silly; 8th Sep 2019. Poured a clear and clean golden colour with a lasting white crown. The nose holds both malty molasses and berry fruits within the aroma. Taste follows suit with a caramel sweetness alongside fruit flavours. Nice, easy drinking beer.

From the pump at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours transparent gold with medium persistent white foam, very fine. Aroma is caramel and most of all toffee. Body is relatively dense with low carbonation. Taste is moderately sweet and with a pretty evident bitterness. Finish is just slightly longer than average, though bitterness remains like a sticky feeling in your mouth.

Nice tasty and refreshing even as a cask ale. Lost a little bit freshness. But very session able.
Hazed deep golden color with a fine white head. Good lacing. Ok hop intensity in the aroma. Medium body and a soft carbonation level. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Citric, mellow malty, mild fruity and some pine in the flavor.
