(Bottle, 0.5l, 20250610) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized, white and it lasted long. Aroma had earth, toffee and toasted malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were earth, toasted malts, toffee, sulphur and bitterness. Aftertaste had toasted malts and bitterness. A nice malty brew with interesting features.

Bottle at home after a long Saturday. Busy morning. Afternoon with the wife and ending up with a nice cream tea. Cream first of course. Anyway, time for a couple of beers. Good pour and a really good traditional best bitter. Well balanced rich malt that meant there was a hell of a lot going on for a low abv. Nice one.

Cask at the Old Plough, Seaford. Deep amber with a light haze and a moderate white head. Very fruity (berries) with some caramel. Sweetish with a light earthy bitterness. Not a bad bitter at first but got a bit dull by the end.
