Bottle from Bottles & Books. Clear deep golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of dried leaves and earth. Flavour of fruit cake and lightly roasted malt. Thin body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Subtle and swiggable.

Half-pint shared with Finn at George, Tunbridge Wells. Deep amber coloured body. Patchy surface, upper part lacing. Distant malt-fruity smell. The taste profile has got moments of caramel and marmalade. Light mid-dry bittersweet endnotes. Accepted. (Tunbridge Wells 18.10.2019).

Pint on tap at The Ginger Fox, West Sussex. Bronze beer with thin film of suds on top. Zero nose. A few bubbles ascend. Patchy lacing. Slight effervescence makes it easy to drink. Finish is hoppy, malty and drying. Looks ordinary, smells of nothing, but nice taste and great finish.

Cask at Crown Inn, Dial Post. A light yeasty/malt aroma. Light chestnut. Frothy off-white head. Light bitter. Malty. Berries and burnt caramel. Light bodied. Watery. Noticeable if not overly lively carbonation. Long finish. A decent bitter. Certainly went well with my roast beef.
