We just had to make another DIPA with the amazing Green Cheek Beer Co. Great combination of hops here with Citra leading the charge but with ample funk and verve by way of two very punchy New Zealand varietals. This stanks!!!

Hot Side: Citra, Nectaron, Riwaka

23/9/2024. Tap at Kill The Cat, Spitalfields. Pours cloudy yellow gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma is citrusy, tropical fruits, mango, orange, pineapple, grapefruit, dank notes. Moderate sweetness with good bitterness developing. Medium bodied, very soft carbonation. Nicely drinkable.

440ml can. Murky golden, white head. Aroma is very dank, weedy, ripe mango and peach. Taste is the same, ripe mango and peaches, pineapple, grapefruit, big dank herbal overtones, some peppery hop spice to finish and pithy hop bitterness. Medium-full bodied.

Keg at Kerrera, Guildford. Aroma is fruity if low key. Followed by hop blossom. Resinous ALand vinous edge. Cloudy light gold. Thin foamy white head. Resinous, with a raw vinousstreak. Peripheral fruit. Light-medium bodied. Slick-oily. Average carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Hoppy stuff. Seem to be rating far lower than othet people- clearly I am not in the mood but it's just not doing it for me.

A bit disappointing after the Garage Project & Fidens, though if I'd had it first I might have thought differently. Not as much in the mouth and the wrong sort of hop burn

Can thanks to my bro. It pours murky almost greenish yellow/gold with a decent white cap. The aroma is green stank, green fruits, kiwi, lime, melon, pineapple, mango, juicy, tangy, weedy and dank. The taste is initially dry, weedy, green, spring onions, garlic, dank, damp herbs, floury bread, brioche, cracker, pithy, zesty, lemon - lime, gooseberry, pineapple and a kick of booze with a drying, dank finale. Medium+ body and average carbonation. Big dank fruit juice. Very nice.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy golden body with an off-white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of mango and orange. Flavour of salted melon and peach with a peppery finish. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Heavily hopped and very green. This might be better after a few more weeks in the can - it’s a bit peppery.

Panda thanks to Wingman. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft pale malts, a light creamy sweetness. Very soft pine into decent Citra (had better delivered recently), a savoury skunk is almost as strong. Guessing that one of the unnamed Kiwi varietals is Motueka, a little lime punching through. No clue what the other one is. A decent bitterness develops towards the airy finish, along with mild hop spice. Quite a muscular hop flavour delivered in a smooth palate. For me, needed to be a little brighter in the hops for top division but a very solid and enjoyable brew.

Panda at home, thanks to the Wingmane, 30/08/24. Murky orange topped with a lasting just off white head. Nose is ripe tropicana, dank chimes, raw pineapple, grass, grapefruit, mango flesh, papaya. Taste comprises freshly squeezed orange, grapefruit, pine resin, dank spike, grass, mandarin, light stone fruit, hop spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with juicy come resinous hop bitterness allied to a balanced rising boost. Solid DIPA.
