We felt it was time hops went sols and got their own prime-time show. IPA is Dead showcases killer hop varieties to create radically different single hop IPAs.
Each IPA contains the same malt backbone and is brewed to be 75 IBU and is enthusiastically kettle hopped and dry hopped with one of our favourite hops. IPA is Dead strips back the complex layers and exposes the beating heart of an IPA; the hops, in all of their transparent glory.
Can you say you’ve ever experienced 100% pure hop aweseomess? IPA is Dead is brewed and bottled to do just that. IPA is Dead. Long live IPA

Keg at BrewDog Shepherds Bush - London. Pours super muddy amber-gold with a lasting, creamy off-white head. The nose has doughy bread, orange, hints of caramel. Light sweet flavor with aggressive bitterness, dry minerals, dirt, orange rind, dry whole grain bread, bitter grain husks. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Dry finish with excessive citrus rind bitterness, alcohol, grainy bread, burnt leaves. What is this? A pretty poor effort.

Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, Saturday 14th December 2013 Pours light amber with a white head, some sweet malt on the nose. Soft in the mouth with a fruity bite and dry edge. Reminds me of something but I cannot think what, maybe it is a canned soft drink from the 1970’s or 80’s or some equally ancient confectionary? Its good but not great A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5

On tap at Brewdog Shepherds Bush. Russet colour slight haze lasting thin beige head. Pineapple passion fruit aroma. Liquorice tang in the mouth. It’s got a better aroma than flavour. Not a fan of liquorice. Hmmm

Brewdog Shepherds Bush. Keg. 7th time lucky! After multiple failed trips to Shoreditch and Camden finally get to try this at the newest place in town! Hazy deep amber beer with a small off white head. Palate is fairly smooth with good fine carbonation. Good malt base with mildly sweet caramel and soft malt cream. Hops are a nice combo of mellow skunk, medium bitterness, pine and a light touch of tropical fruits. Comes together very well before a smooth dry finish. Very well integrated and smooth.

Keg at BrewDog Camden. It pours hazy orange-amber with a medium yellow-white head. The nose is earthy, juicy pine, peppery, fresh orange, tinned pineapple and light herbal notes. The taste is crisp, bitter pine, grassy, pepper, orange rind, pineapple, light alcohol kick, grapefruit and sherbet with a dry, rather bitter finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Very nice hop character indeed. Good depth. Has some similarities to galaxy imo. Very tasty.
