‘Brewing for Impact’ is the creation of Brooklyn Brewery’s multi-award winning Brewmaster, Garrett Oliver, and comes as he celebrates his 30th anniversary with the brewery. It has been created with Fonio, an ancient grain that has thrived in West Africa for over 5,000 years due to its drought resistance and ability to grow in nutrient-poor soil without fertilizers and pesticides

Rocky white head left a froth on a highly carbonated chill hazy pale golden coloured body. Minimal aroma of citrus & earthy. Medium bodied, foamy & clean. Malt, butterscotch, herbal & light citrus tastes with a tangy finish. All a bit lacking.

Bottle picked up at the brewery. Clear pale straw colour. Thin lasting white head. Light pale malts. Hint of lemon and grassy hop. Taste light dry and light bitter. Pretty thin overall to the point of feeling watery. Light dry finish. Not too much happening here really. Maybe it’s best suited to cask.
