On gravity at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol April 2013. Pale amber with a slight white head. Dominated by syrupy tropical fruits, with some cereal malts in the background. Not good.

Aroma: Orange squash, mango and passionfruit. Very fruity aroma.
Appearance: Hazy golden body with a medium off-white head. No visible carbonation. Light lacing.
Taste: Fresh passionfruit juice and pale malt. Very juicy with a light peppery finish.
Palate: Medium body with an oily texture. Flat carbonation.
Overall: Juicy, fruity and easy drinking. Not sure if I could drink more than a couple in a sitting, though.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading] Light amber with a moderate white head and prickly fizz. There’s a slight tropical hint and some flowers in both the aroma and flavour, along with a little pepper and a faint but unpleasant sourness. Weak-tasting, very watery and unsatisfying.

Cask at Tanners Hall JDW Darlington. Golden amber colour, creamy white head leaving some lacing and fruity, passionfruit aroma. Taste is sweet, malt, tropical fruit juice flavours, melon, passionfruit, lemon-lime and a light bitterness with biscuit notes at the finish. Light bodied, soft carbonation, OK.

Cask at the Rupert Brooke (JDW) Rugby, 03/04/13. Clear dark amber with a thin white head. Nose is malt, passion fruit, light piss, hint of hoppage. Taste comprises orange, passion fruit, sugars, strawberries, light fruit cocktail kind of thing going down. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, a little dry in the finish. Ok stuff - this was one of the turn ups for me from this JDW festival, no world beating stuff but pleasant enough and refreshing, was expecing a mid 2. something fruit cacktail!

Cask at The Punch Bowl in York. Pours amber with a foamy near-white head. Aroma is floral/tropical fruit. Flavor is mango or passion fruit. Opting for the latter given the name. Very pleasant finish.

Cask at the Bear (JDW), Maidenhead. Amber with a loose cream head; fruit aroma - not sure if it’s passion fruit or peach; soft and fruity in the mouth with a grainy texture and a refreshing off-sweet finish. Not bad.

Cask at Willow Walk, London. It pours clear golden amber with a small white head. The nose is sweetish, red berry, soft fruit and grain. The taste is soft fruit, berry, berry yoghurt, floral, hay, faint spice and some bitterness with a dry, oddly spiced finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Not too bad really, pretty drinkable at least.
