440ml can, shared at Ben’s Cafe, Malaysia. Poured a clear almost black colour with a thin broken, dark tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, herbal liqourice. The flavour is moderate sweet and liqourice bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, oily, liquorice, light chocolate, light warm boozy alcohol bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Can shared at The Bishops Arms Malmö Plaza 27/04/2024 Dark roasted and sweet malty, lots of chocolate, some sweet toffee and caramel malty sweetness in play, singed brown sugar, full bodied, great coffee roast, sweet lingering dark malty finish. Great stuff, even though not getting much donut.

Can at Prague Beer Festival. Quite full body, med-high carbonation, relative to style. Med-light warmth, but pleasant. Rather high sweetness, medium bitterness. Loads of maltiness, mostly chocolate, but also assertive tobacco and coffee. Moderate dried fruits and nougat. Overall very tasty, but a very slow drinker. Even a small bottle would probably be too much for most days.

Can. Opaque black brown beer, small tan head. Smooth and viscous palate, decent fine carbonation. Rich chocolate malts, chocolate malt cream, Ice Cream chocolate syrup. Some alcohol spice and unwelcome esters. A little doughy sweetness. Smooth chocolatey finish. Nice, bloody rich and a tad one note but, thoroughly entertaining.

Keg @ Tap and Can. Inky black pour with a tight tan head. Buckets of roast and coffee on the nose. Continues to taste, layered roasted malts, strong tasting espresso, woody with a very gentle vanilla presence. Oof.

440ml can. Pours black with almost no head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, vanilla. Taste of coffee, roast malts, dark chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, warming but not boozy at all, fairly sweet but a little coffee bitterness. Full bodied, smooth. Excellent.
