This is the first time we’ve bottle refermented Jack D’Or, despite the fact that when we first conceived of the beer in 2008, we intended it to be a rustic, bottle refermented, Europe inspired, golden, dry, hoppy saison. Well, we finally got there, 15 years later! Thanks for buying it & we hope you love it. Please be aware that because this bottle contains living beer, you should store it cool and stand it upright for a day before you drink it. It will contain yeast sediment. Pour with vigour into a big glass with lots of foam, and enjoy!

Bottle split at Craft Beer Junction, thanks to Danny Boyo, 18/10/23. Hazed golden orange with a good sized off white cap that retains well. Nose is grass, herb, light funk, mellow citric zest, grains. Taste comprises Belgian yeast esters, light candied fruits, herb, hedgerow, spice, grass, stale biscuit, stewed fruits, light floral notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid Saison.

75cl bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Jan 24. Praise be to Garrold for sending me a bottle of this! Misty gold, large white head. Beautifully vibrant Belgian sweetness on the nose. Excellent yeast expression to taste, lovely comforting sweetness, perfect harmony of flavours with a soft rustic air. A rare beer that hits it square on the nose!

8th January 2024, Shrewsbury Beer Share in Chez Sophie, five guys and loads of beers! Cheers Mat (and Garrold) for the 75cl bottle of this: BB October 2024. Mini-haze to the golden pour, decent white head. Herbal, spiced sort of yeasty front to this semi-sweet, semi-funky brew. Liked it.

Bottle share at CBJ. Thanks to Dan the Man. A light haze on this gold beer, tidy bubbly pale cream colour head. Soft pale malts, a light creamy sweetness. Soft bready malts, good floral sweetness. Ripe fruits, a little tangy, a light finish. Okay, but skewed.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Dan! Pours unclear gold with a creamy, white topping. Light to medium sweet flavour with notes of dried sourdough, grass, a little yeast, honey, biscuits. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Sweet finish, mellow warmth, some bitter hay, mild yeast and honey. Very tasty.

750ml bottle. Hazed pale gold. Super sticky lasting and lacing messy white foam. Nose is old school Belgian saison. Blaugies and Fantome spring to mind. Nice hit of lemon pith and rind. Touch of spice and herb. Taste is malty and yeasty sweet up front turning pithy and herbal bitter. Slick and easy drinking with soft foamy carbonation. Herbal floral bitterness to finish. Class.
