355ml can from Stop & Shop, Quincy. Drunk admiring the sunset on Quincy Riverwalk. Clear golden orange appearance, white head. Gently sweet grapefruit aroma. Decent grapefruit action, coming across a lot like Elvis Juice.. crushable.. not bad overall.

Draught at the Boathouse, 5/5/23. Clear bronze-brass. Small, white head, low retention. Smells like soggy hops, soggy, sugary malts. Sweat, pine, stale grapefruit. Stale grapefruit, sluggish, underattenuated malts. Light pine, white bread, sweat.

Pours golden with a thick white head. Immediate aroma of grassy hops cut with a sharp grapefruit note. Taste has pine and resinous grapefruit, floral. Palate has citrus on the nose, malty base. Eh.

Ever so slightly hazy, beautiful pink grapefruit and orange coloured body with a relatively thin, single centimetre tall off-white head that is microfoamed, just way too short. Aroma of grass, grapefruit, hay, very subtle malt and not much else - a touch of bitterness and astringency from the hops. Light-bodied; Dry, very citrusey flavours with the grapefruit showing first, with a lot of grass and piney hops as well, and there is a touch of sweetness that comes from the fruits, but those grapefruit notes are basically only reserved for the bitterness. Aftertaste shows some light grass and hay, a touch of malts and very fragrant floral elements, but as the name implies - this is all about the grapefruits, with a lot of dryness and some alcohol, but quite bitter throughout. Overall, a nice grapefruit-based IPA that I wish had more malt for support and a touch more complexity, but for the style, pretty spot-on and enjoyable for an IPA-lover, at least! I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Wegman's in Woodbridge, Virginia on 18-April-2020 for US$1,87 sampled on the same day, 18-April-2020 at my house here in Washington.

Can at home in NH - picked up in MA. Pours totally clear gold with a small, frothy white head. Has a fun, forward grapefruit character, with a bit of pale malt besides, some rindy bitterness, pith. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty well balanced in the finish, more fresh grapefruit juice, rind, dry pale malts. Good for what it is.

12 oz. can.Appearance has a slight hazy to it. Aroma and flavor are exactly what you would expect. Grapefruit balances the earthy, herbal hops. Mouthfeel and carbonation are normal. Overall, everything about this is average. Good enough for a refreshment at the beach.

Sometimes I wonder why the beers I try at this restaurant always seem so different than what prior reviews indicate. Anyway, pours a standard amber from a tap, nose is bland and unimpressive as is the flavor. No grapefruit notes that I can detect. Wrong tap handle? Meh.
