Panda at home, thanks to Graham Grumbo, 17/09/23. Black with a khaki cap that dissipates to a siwrl. Nose is chocolate, sweet malts, sugars, toffee, nutty. Taste comprises cacao nibs, hazelnut, dark malts, light spice balance, dried fruit rinds, charr. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Fun enough stout ... captures the essence of FR well without running overly sweet.

2/9/2023. Can at Cardiff GP beer share. From Beer Central, Sheffield. Pours black with a small frothy tan coloured head. Aroma of caramel, chocolate, nut, vanilla, roasted malt. Medium plus sweetness and moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, smooth, average carbonation. Developing bitterness to finish. A beer that does what it says on the can.

On tap at the Gryphon, Bristol 19/11/2022. Very dark brown in colour, with a tight, beige, head. Sweet aroma of hazelnuts, milk chocolate and a trace of leafy hop. Flavour had lots more nuts and chocolate, with some fondant sweetness, slightly toast malts leading to a very rich, boozy finish. Excellent.
