Our PGR has aged for 24 months on oak barrels and has been bottled for the first time on the 27th of December 2007. The main difference with the Pannepot Reserva is that PGR matured the last ten months on Calvados oak barrels, adding extra complexity to the beer. We dedicate this beer as a tribute to Jeppe & Michael of Ølbutikken in Denmark. Those gentlemen were the first to discover our beers on an International basis back in 2004 and are responsable somehow for our beers being all over the globe since then. As a token of gratitude towards Jeppe & Michael, the first shipment of PGR was scheduled to Ølbutikken so they could be the first to launch its commercialisation.

Dark sweet malty with lots of dried fruit shred, fruit cake malty, sweet toffee and fudge sweetness, medium plus body, cognac comes through, really smooth, cognac soaked oak accents into the spiced lingering sweet malty close. Lovely.

dark brown pour with minimal mocha head. Aroma of dark fruits, smoke, tobacco, and some vinuous red wine notes. The flavour is quitr vinous, and the oak comes through a big in the flavour, but what dominates is the red wine, almost sourness that i’m getting. the finish is a tad tart, and short. The barrel ageing wasnt as prevalent as i had expected. This beer seemed to be dominated by a slight sour, and very redwine like flavour. Very enjoyable, and interesting.

Bottle at home. 2010 vintage. Aroma is dark malt, raisins, oak, caramel, some chocolate, some booze, ripe sweet dark fruits, spices, plum, hint of wine, candy sugar. Flavour is rather sweet, but it fits the aroma. Body is nicely full and thick. Rich and complex. Great!
