33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours elegant reddish brown, with irregular, limited foam. Aroma is intense of cherries, the barrel ageing being evident. Body is average, with limited carbonation, quite tart and with medium astringency. Taste is markedly sour, even a bit sapid. Final is still astringent and very long.

330ml Bottle Chez Sophie. Pours an oud bruin hazed deep Amber, no head. Aroma has sweet and sour wild notes, taste continues, confidently sweet, benefitting from additional cherry though if it didn't state cherry was used I'd believe the fruitiness was from the natural oud bruin yeasty character. Good complexity, nice depth of wild flavours, with a biting acidity. Good stuff, but not a lambic.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Appearance - deep, bright amber to brown. Close to white head. Nose - lanolin, vinous, woody and going into balsamic. Taste - balsamic very dominant again. Funky, wood and vinous with no real sign of the cherries, which presume are melded into the general sourness. Palate - medium bodied, tangy/funky middle and a long tangy/funky finish. Overall - very nice but didn't get the cherries at all. Tasting blind this is pretty much a Flemish Red, but apparently it isn't.
