Hippie Ki Yay! Splitty Westy is a really big West Coast DIPA hopped with Motueka hops from New Zealand. The caramelly malt body and high level of alcohol is balanced out with crispy bitterness. Motueka gives the beer a fresh citrusy nose with a herbal backbone.

From keg @ Fat Lizard City, Helsinki. Poured clear and light amber in color, thick head. Caramelly malty with way too much sweetness. It got the nice bitterness kicking in but the hops are way too subdued.

(Keg at the brewery taproom, 20211209) The beer poured deep amber and lightly hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had ripe fruits, resin and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were ripe fruits, resin, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, malty and bitter. A nice and clean hoppy brew with malty notes.
